I eagerly downloaded lupu-528.iso from the linked site. It sounds like my "Puppy Time" has arrived. In my exploration of Linux systems, the built-in ability in Puppy to easily remaster a Puplet is extremely attractive! When I found an Article by Barry Kauler with news of a Puppy distro with Firefox installed. I would love Linux Mint even MORE if I could implement about a dozen "personal preference changes" into the boot image, but am daunted by the complexity of remastering a new Mint system. I run Mint 10 if I want to mung with DVDs. I love and trust this system and am extremely glad to be done fighting with crappy anti-virus programs. I run XP from the hard drive about 1/3 of the time for iTunes, but I boot Mint 8 from a locked SD card as a ROM based (NO hard drive) secure web browsing system - there is NO way to write malware to the system. I have been running (and experimenting with) Linux Mint 8 Gnome LiveCD for well over a year now. Linux Mint 8/10 LiveCD (running from locked 1GB SD card).
